As Salaamu Alaikum and welcome to the 2015-2016 school year.
Each year brings new addition to the staff, new students and a new set of achievements and experiences. We are very proud to welcome each and every family to a new year and exciting year at KIS!
Islam is a way of life and KIS works hard to teach and re-inforce Islamic principles that will inshallah help carry each student through their daily lives.
The administration at KIS takes the responsibility of teaching Islam to the students very seriously. Countless hours are put in by both the administration and staff to ensure that the students receive the best education KIS can provide.
KIS administration and staff member volunteer their time, showing a level of dedication and commitment to their responsibilities and students.

Our Philosophy
The Philosophy of KIS is based on the belief that every child should explore the beauty of Islam and apply its principles in their daily lives. KIS hopes to educate its pupils so that each child evolves into a mature, spiritual, well-rounded human being.
Our History
Kalamazoo Islamic School (KIS) started at Kalamazoo Islamic Center (KIC) to meet the needs of children living in and around the greater Kalamazoo area. Although KIC was established to serve the needs of the university student population at Western Michigan University, it soon became apparent that many of their children's religious needs were not being met.
